ABOUT THE LICENSING ROUND
The Ministry of Mines and Hydrocarbons invited oil and gas explorers to bid on a range of prospective acreages, including some unexplored blocks, in the EG Ronda 2016 – Equatorial Guinea’s 2016 Oil and Gas Licensing Round. The Ronda was concluded at the Africa Oil & Power conference in Cape Town on June 5, 2017, by the Minister of Mines and Hydrocarbons. Thank you for your interest.
Exploration success has been a hallmark of Equatorial Guinea’s upstream oil and gas business, with 48 total discoveries and a drilling success rate of 42 percent.
